So I was reading the latest edition of the Fantasy Companion, and the Strength in the profiles for Brownies and Pixies is listed simply as 1. No die type or anything. Anyone know what's up with that?

It just mean every time you have to roll these Trait the result will always be 1. Strength roll? 1. Damage roll? Weapon Die + 1. -

Strength 1 has been in Savage Worlds (at least) since Revised, though it is mostly a feature of very small creatures. Any time the character rolls Strength, they get a one. When it matters, I assume their Encumbrance is also one.I hope you find the above post useful. It appears in core on the size table, but no example creature has it from my check. It's mentioned on the minimum strength rules, but not really followed up on.
Size table's implied rules for reducing something below d4 is d4>d4-1>d4-3>1. That's curious on its own since d4-3 with some kind of fixed bonus (weapon, edge) will be worse than 1 most of the time.Certain items have a “Minimum Strength” required to use without penalty. Note that some items list a d4 since it is possible to have a Strength lower than d4.Comment
