Gordon I know you're busy-busy right now, but I just thought to bring to your attention that the Raise Calculator seems to be a little wonky. It looks like the calculation for the Damage Result is 1-point-off whenever Armor is 0.

For example, entering a die roll of 4 on TN4 registers as a "Success" under Die Result, but "No Effect" under Damage Result. Increase the die roll to 5 though and DR reads "Shaken."

It does this for every raise increment too. Entering 8 on TN4 still reads "Shaken", but make it 9 and it changes to "Shaken with 1 Wound".
    ___________

However, if Armor is at 1 or higher, the calculator functions perfectly (at least I found no faults).
    ___________

Also worth noting, when Armor is set to 0, any amount of AP seems to be registering as +1 bonus damage. So plugging in "AP 1" to any of the flukes mentioned above will turn a "No Effect" into a "Shaken" (or Shaken into a Shaken w/wound).

Again, once an Armor value has been input, the calculator works spot-on. AP no longer tries to 'bump up' the results up.

    Sorry for the extra workload...
    Cheers

Never mind. That’s on the existing tools. I’ll have to recreate the dev environment tonight and tomorrow and fix it. Thanks for the heads up!

      Gordon Hehheh, cool!
The tools look amazing already, and it only looks like more amazingness is coming. I'm eager to see the finished product.

Charisma is out and Core Skills are in when #SWADE is selected as the primary book!
( I'm going in as blind as the rest of us are! )

The "new" way to create a character shouldn't be affected by the software. All the checks are the same (for now). 15 skills, 5 attributes. The only thing that I know of that's "in the air" is what benefits hindrances provide in #SWADE vs Deluxe

I'm hesitant to even preview this, but I've made so much progress on the new version in the last week with no hiccups, I might as well "stress test" it a little bit. Consider this pre-alpha software. IF YOU REGISTER I cannot guarantee the account will be available in the future (although I seriously doubt I'll have to overwrite the database).

Here's the sharing preview. This is doable by anyone with an account (note the share page is a rough draft, and the mobile version of the site still needs some tuning).

At this rate I'll be done in 2 weeks. It took me 2 months to even get close using the previous technology using a client server model. There is no offline usage - sorry, but PDF and copy/paste exports will be available for all character generations.

You'll have full access to all features of the software WITHOUT a user account, with the exception of saving, sharing, and attaching images to your creations.

Well, here's the Liberator (note the cool, shortened URL): https://svgd.us/mogq2q

I may add a contact/feedback form tomorrow ( as well as the Extra Database ) if you have any suggestions or feedback.

And now you know the URL of the new project

          I love you all

With the Character Generator being planned and the framework being laid out. I've taken a break to make sure that the PDF creator/renderer will work. This is only 3 hours of experimentation. This particular PDF is from a dynamic HTML page generated on the backend.

There's a lot of test elements here that's working: background image, headers, footers, tables, inline images, html links, columns (which content bleeds over to next column). Different layout from first page.

This rewrite is getting really exciting.

Addendum: This PDF is just under 1MB in size.. Mainly because of the 2 embedded images consisting of a 303kb file and a 181kb file.

Latest updates: skill specialization and multiple language setting rules now work (if they’re not in SWADE, then it’s all good, I plan on the CharGen handing Deluxe as well, I’ve coded it with that sort of flexibility in mind).

I’ve also added a Feedback system that’s public readable, but only member submitable. It’s pretty basic and the css needs a bit of work (as well as an input check or two).

NaNoWriMo is this month so my coding will slow down (quite) a bit, but I do plan on getting edges finished by the end of next week. That’s really the most complex bit of code. Gear is next in the agenda after that - relativity simple in comparison.

Can’t wait to get my hands on the new rule book so I can stop guessing and predicting from the hits I’ve read in transcripts and posts.

This is only a bit more than 2 weeks work (not including data entry)

                      Savaged.us Development Progress

Slow going so far due to #NaNoWriMo this month (my 5th year), but Edges are mostly in.

Once I get the requirement checks and availability for Edges in place, I'll move on to gear. Gear (including Weapons and Armor) won't take long unless I "feel froggy" and decide to allow for gear within container gear (put all this stuff in my backpack!).

After that it's Powers, which isn't that much harder than gear - about the same level as Hindrances was.

The last version (before I scrapped it) had a Character Journal. I'll be adding this too just before or after Advances.

At that point Savage Worlds: Deluxe character creation will be complete (barring the many bugfixes once more than 1 pair of eyes are on the app). I'm trying to have Rippers and Saga of the Goblin Horde rules in as well.

Savage Worlds: Adventure Edition preparations have been added as news/rumors leak. (Note the 12 skill points and core skills in attached album)
I've also added a rudimentary Feedback system for bug-squashing. It'll need lots of styling love. It's ugly as sin right now.

While coding last night, I noticed some functions missing from the transition between databases almost two weeks ago. Registration (and password recovery) weren’t working and giving an error 500 on the still very work-in-progress savaged.us

Registration is now working and open if you’re wanting to sign up. Those of you who signed up before the change, your accounts and data are still there and safe!

                        https://savaged.us

Also I added a contact page and the version 1.0 draft of the privacy policy for those curious.

                          Another quick (but huge) update:

Last night I added Gear, Weapons, Armor, Custom Gear, Custom Weapons, Custom Armor, Equipping/Un-equipping of Armor and Weapons are in and moderately tested during lunch today.

Next up: Powers then backtracking to make Edges more robust.

After Edge functionality is rounded-out, it's onto Advances or PDF exports.
