  • [SWADE v4] Typos

Can't post in feedback so here it is.

    Buying Things
    Second Paragraph
    Third Sentence
"The GM should may add bonuses..."

    Page 140
    No Power Points
    Second sentence
"The penalty to the roll the power’s total cost in Power Points (base cost plus all Modifiers), divided by 2."
    Should read..
"The penalty to the roll is the power’s total cost in Power Points (base cost plus all Modifiers), divided by 2."

    Pages 156 and 157
In the entries for the Burst and Blast Powers
The "A" in "Area Effect Attacks" isn't bold like the rest of the phrase.

    Another one.

    Last paragraph
It reads: "Use the Allies rules on page 111 if desired to give them distinctive personalities if desired."
    It says "if desired" twice.

Prone: "... Standing is a free action but reduces total Pace for the turn by 2."
Should probably be Standing up. Standing around doesn't seem to be much of an action.

Page 75, "Machine Guns" rules box: the bold heading "Reloading:" has lost its line break and has ended up at the end of the "Minimum Rate of Fire" rule, above.

The ability is not in Bold, like every other ability in the race table.

Page 18: Construct has an unnecessary end-parenthesis: “Golden Hour)”.
Mentioned elsewhere—Page 60: Killer Instinct's Edge summary has not been updated to match the new effect.
Page 106: Under Speed, the paragraph mentions that the minimum relative speed difference is 24” (16 MPH), but the lowest entry on the Speed Table is 60 MPH. The reference to 24" should be removed.
Page 143: Social Conflicts example lists previous rules (supporting an arbitrator’s Spirit rather than opposing the court wizard’s Persuasion).

In changes it says "P73: Heavy crossbow changed to Reload 3."
But in the book it's still 2.

Not a typo, but a clarification..

                  Ranged Weapons in Melee (p104/105)

As it stands, the first bullet point reads:
"The attacker may use a power or a one-handed ranged weapon (such as a firearm no larger than a pistol) in melee. The TN is the defender’s Parry instead of Short Range as he struggles, wrestles back and forth, etc."

As such, this entry (the whole Ranged Weapons in Melee entry) just says:
                  - you can use ranged weapons in melee
                  - you can use powers and one-handed ranged weapons in melee, but TN is Parry
                  - you can shoot non-adjacent targets, but become Vulnerable

It never says you can't use a larger ranged weapon against an adjacent target in melee. And if you actually can, half of the first bullet point is pointless.

                  I assume it means:
                  - you can use any kind of ranged weapon while in melee if you're attacking a non-adjacent target
                  - the only ranged weapons you can use to attack an adjacent target in melee are powers and one-handed ranged weapons

Presumably, the first bullet point should read:
"The attacker may only use a power or a one-handed ranged weapon (such as a firearm no larger than a pistol) to fire at an adjacent target in melee. The TN is the defender’s Parry instead of Short Range as he struggles, wrestles back and forth, etc."

Page 24, the description for Greedy: "Misers measures worth in material possessions or wealth." To stay consistent with the rest of the description, "misers" should probably be changed to "this miser".

All fixed (except Standing from prone, which we think is fine). Thanks

Reposting this here in the hopes it won't be missed:

The Young Hindrance (p.28) has [Minor/Major] in its header, which goes against the grain of all other 2-tiered Hindrances which use the [Minor or Major] format.

Horrible mistake in version 4.1 page 63; the Humiliate summary was updated to the Reliable text; it should read "Free reroll when making Taunt Tests", not "Free reroll when making Support rolls."
                          Cheers
