    ...yes, again. Still trying to understand Running in Chases and why you'd do that.

    In a Chase, does Running count as "in combat", meaning that you have to roll your Running die (so the bonus on your maneuvering roll may vary), or does it count as "out of combat", meaning that you double your Pace and add the maximum running die on top?

    All distances in Chases are meant to be abstract, so you wouldn't roll your running die. Really you only look at the Range Increment you've chosen (likely 5) when the Chase begins. Remember Chases are an abstraction, and they're really about relative distances within those abstractions. Just move up and down the Chase cards and track ranges with the Range Increments chosen.
