  • Errata

There are still some things in the finalized books that need to be fixed. Fortunately none of them are particularly game-breaking (except maybe the baleful polymorph issue), so there's not necessarily any need to literally stop the presses; an errata document, or at least the beginnings of one, should work.

    Core Book
The new baleful polymorph power is missing from the Transmutation School list on page 174 as well as the power summary table on page 202. What's more, there's no mention anywhere in the book of which classes and Arcane Background have access to the power.

    Bestiary
Page 48: The drow noble should have Toughness 9 (4), on account of his Slenderness.
Page 91: Dark and guardian nagas still have Improved Dodge, but this Edge doesn’t exist in Savage Pathfinder.

    Burnt Offerings
Page 20: The Tickwood boars are missing the Rage ability that other boars have.

    Skinsaw Murders
Page 23: Caizarlu’s Spontaneous Trapping Edge doesn’t exist.
Page 39: Is the diseased rat’s Bad Eyes Hindrance Major or Minor? I assume Minor, but it should be stated.

    Fortress of the Stone Giants
Page 35: Rocs should be noted as being Huge.

    Sins of the Saviors
Page 39: Xyoddin’ Backstab Class Ability should be Sneak Attack.
Page 69: The water elemental’s Drench ability has different text from its entry in the Bestiary.
Page 78: The warriors of wrath’s Armor Interference should be Medium thanks to their levels in Arcane Armor.

    Spires of Xin-Shalast
Page 28: Svevenka’s Ice Mastery ability references dangerous ground, which should be Difficult Ground.
Page 59: “An Academics (science) roll” should just be Science.

For Baleful Polymorph, I would give it to any class that has the Shape Change power, so Nature Cleric domain (thus also includes Druids), Sorcerer, Wizard, and the Mage. Should be included though, good catch!

There’s also a bunch of highlighting in the index of the core book that should not be there.

I would like to add that Price and creation cost for the Aegis enchantment does not match up (I think it was Aegis... it was the first one on that page with all enchantments).

One more note: If a caster takes the Duration extra for Baleful Polymorph (or any other power that normally allows another roll each round to remove the effect), increasing the duration to minutes instead of rounds should also increase the intervals between each save to minutes as well. Otherwise, each target will get 10 more saves each minute, and surely 1 of them will succeed before the 5 minutes are up, ruining the point of buying the additional duration! (Or does buying the Duration modifier cancel out any more attempts to save and the power then always lasts for the full 5 minutes? That would work too.)

            Something we just found:

Adamantine is listed as a flat +3,000 gp to cost. But it's also stated to be an option for projectiles like arrows. A 3,300 gp adamantine sword makes sense, but should an adamantine arrow really cost 3,001 gp?

Actually, we need to re-add Improved Dodge to the Core rules.

Dire Boars have Rage, while the Tickwood Boards are based on normal Boars (who don't).

Wizard doesn't give you Armor Interference (Medium), it gives (Any) so that's what's displayed. If we listed it as (Medium), then the two levels of Arcane Armor would give them access to (Heavy). This is one of the places where we don't list the conclusion since it's the interaction between two Edges and it's unlikely to need a direct reference in play.

Interesting. I could've sworn regular boars had Rage. Maybe it got removed.

Understandable. It's just that Athroxis doesn't have Armor Interference in her Wizard class abilities, so I figured it was because of her levels in Arcane Armor.

Either I'm right and Athroxis needs that added or I'm wrong and the Warrior of Wrath needs it changed. Either way, I've passed it on.

This one is actually a bit funny -

              Core Book
              Page 15
uses a 1.1 version art of the pre-made characters and achtype cards, which is no longer relevant. The Lini page in particular shows Language Skill dice and wrong Advancements.

Turns out my last report was based on an old PDF. So, now with new PDF:

                P 111. Weapon Table
Ranseur - should this really be a 1-handed weapon?
Trident - This might be intended to be a 2h weapon, but could be correct.

Core Rulebook page 43 (not sure if it is the latest, but at least it is no longer the playtest version), Multiclassing: "If a character takes a new Arcane Background, she gets the new powers, and a d4 in its arcane skill if she doesn’t already have it."

Core rulebook page 167 in the version I have, box Multiple Arcane Backgrounds. "she gets a d4 in its arcane skill if she doesn’t already have it"

Both of these refer to a rule from the playtest document.

Bestiary page 52: Water Elemental. "Edges: Sweep (Imp)". This may not be a typo, but the Elder Water Elemental does not have this ability. This is is odd and makes the water elemental (regular, neither small nor elder) stand out as a summon option.

Elementals share special abilities within each element, but not edges.
The elder earth elemental has Sweep, but its not improved.

APG Errata - the spells for Oracle in the Class Edge section and later in the book with the breakdown by rank are not consistent. The later section appears to just be a copy of the class listing previous to it.

Core Rulebook p 169, Stacking powers, second column: "Similarly, a sorcerer could cast protection (melee) on an ally who's already benefiting from a ring of protection (ranged)." Protection does not separate melee and ranged, I presume the text should refer to Deflection.
