  • Traits and Skills Question

    Hi there,

This may be an obvious question, but if you raise an Ability (for instance, Agility) after you've bought your skills, would that make those skills cheaper? The way I figure is if you buy Agility at a d6, then spend four skill points raising Fighting to a d8, if you then raise your Agility by purchasing a Hindrance, it would not give you one skill point back.

Character creation isn't an absolute linear process, it's more of a "package." Nothing is finalized until it's completely over. So if Hindrance Points raise an Attribute, then (if applicable) Skill costs are based off that Attribute not the first one. So raising Agility to d8 would mean any Agility-linked skills of d8 or higher cost 1 point less (which can be used to gain or raise skills).

    Hope that helps.
