How can I still only be a Novice Explorer when I have 8.5 credits?

Moving up the ranks is not just a matter of credits ... it's how many credits you have in each setting. Since I don't know what you have, I can't say if that the issue or not.

The table in the PDF for ranks could be a little more clear. I initially read it wrong and got carried away running different settings, without building many credits in any specific settings ... though that helped me later with some of the higher ranks.

For Novice Explorer, you need 1 credit in one setting. Obviously, you have that.

For Seasoned Explorer, you need 4 credits in each of two settings. If you have 4 credits in one setting but less than 4 in any other, then you still have not yet achieved Seasoned Explorer.

And it gets harder for every Rank. Took me four years to reach Legendary, running 2-4 adventures at 3 local cons every year, plus Con on Cobb, and a few times in game stores for Free RPG day. There are not many of us there, but it CAN be done.

Hi Jeff,

The Other Mike's response is absolutely correct.

And thanks to Mike for answering it so quickly, since I'm apparently very slow to do so.

Jeff, if you ever have any questions or concerns about The Savage Worlds Explorers Society feel free to PM me, email me, or email SWES directly using the "Contact Us" link.
