Quick Idea: Electro-Kinetic Fortification

#1 Postby OSIAdept » Thu Mar 29, 2012 9:46 pm

A quick bit of fluff to explain some of the armors in System Crash
Let Me know what you think.

Through the use of embedded super-conducting tungsten nano-wire combat-hard suits and many military Vehicles are able to produce a powerful multi-layered electro-magnetic current a few micrometers from the surface of the armor plating generating a super dense polarized particle barrier which greatly increases the toughness of the target armor.

In game terms:

Any Combat-Hard Suit or Military grade vehicle equipped with EKF technology have 2 armor values much like kevlar one for the actual armor an a second when the EKF system is online.

Typically it doubles the amors AV so a Light CHS with a AV of 2 goes to 4
An EKF barrier goes offline in several fashions
If any incoming damage meets or exceeds the modified AV the EKF goes offline for 3 rounds and then recharges.
If exposed to a EMP attack the target must make an agility test or the barrier is knocked offline and must recharge normally

I like it!
Finally, a FFF force field-reinforced body armor.

"Not against a Servitor."
