MHI - Monster Hunter International

#1 Postby DHRDawg » Fri Apr 04, 2014 10:22 pm

I made a teaser trailer for an upcoming game that I want to run for my group... Monster Hunter International based on the books by Larry Correia. I got the idea from Vaslov, here on the forums (thanks!). He made a teaser for his Accursed game.

I just started recently reading the MHI books and I'm hooked! Use the Savage Worlds Deluxe book, Horror Companion and Agents of Oblivion and you are good to go. I think I'm also going to get the Hero System's .pdf they just put out for MHI for the background of the agency.

Teaser is here...

You might also want to look at GURPS Monster Hunters for some ideas too.

I love GURPS books for Savage Worlds ideas.

So warrenss2, did you get to run a MHI game? I saw you posted about one a while ago. Just curious to see how it went. Now Hero has that MHI handbook out which would make life easier with background info and such.

MHI Team Copperhead fought a Lesser Gargoyle in the Boral Brick Yard in South Augusta. It couldn't fly but it was strong enough to hurl pallets of bricks pretty hard.

Am M16 with an under-slung, carried by 2 players, saved the day.

I ran it as a one-shot Showdown game. Haven't played it as a SW RPG campaign yet. Was going to run it after my Savage Ghostbuster game but having to relocate to Gainesville, FL put everything on hold for a while.

Sounds cool.

BTW you are getting closer to South Florida where I live. Sucks moving and trying to find a new group to play with. I wish you luck.

Well... I'm bouncing back to Augusta, GA. on April 24th. Going to work for NCR fixing ATMs and cash registers.

Ahhh... Gainesville...

Reminds me of my college days. Best five months of my life.

I wish some of you guys would migrate a little farther south to my neck of the woods.
I've often speculated why you don't return to America. Did you abscond with the church funds? Run off with a senator's wife? I like to think you killed a man. It's the Romantic in me.
