Appearance of Rippers Character

#1 Postby The GIT! » Tue Aug 04, 2009 9:59 pm

What would be nice is the ability to load your own image of how your character looks instead of the one provided - either that or a selection of images to choose from.

I'll confess to being a little nervous about what people might upload, but I'll look into how easy it might be and mull it over.

Thanks for the feedback.

Simon

If that's a concern, how about just giving a few options? Maybe have a male and female version of each faction?

There is a male and female version of each faction already. If the game is successful enough to warrant a second round of art, I'll aim to add additional options for each faction to give you a little more control of your look and to vary up the art you see in your Allies screen.

Thanks

There is?!? Shows how much I paid attention during character creation... :)

Maybe swapping the character portrait with the person's Facebook profile pic would be a good idea. That will let people differentiate between their Allies on the Ally page, and since Facebook already ensures PG-rated pics, you won't have to worry about obscene pics in the game.

These are all good suggestions and would just add a little more to help personalize your character. BTW Simon - I love the game artwork thus far.

See, I LIKE the avatars being set to something within genre...but it WOULD be nice to be able to distinguish between FB friends more easily.

How about a switch to their FB profile pic when you mouseover?

Epharian has come up with a very good idea. Any chance of this happening?
