There are some differences. New names for the Orders, revised calendar and solar system details, a new major Corporation, plus a few tweaks here and there to iron out some creases and clarify a few things. Plus all-new art and layout that really captures the tone of the game.

The major rules clarifications (including how melee weapons work in SWEX terms) will be available free, but the actual new rules and other changes we made won't be.

Ah ok, may be worthwhile for me to get then since I only have a PDF of the first copy, and an actual book would be nice. I'm hoping to grab the mission generator and some of the edges and savage tales for use in my Dark Legacies campaign, as the two worlds are similar in a lot of ways.

Some of our freebie material might serve you well, then. IIRC, there's an Inquisitorial mission generator among that lot, as well as other goodies.
