[PBWG] Whatever became of Judge Fool?

#1 Postby Sitting Duck » Mon Mar 16, 2015 6:55 am

So some time ago, the Kickstarter backers received their pdf copies of Judge Fool. Since then, I can't recall hearing anything about when the hard copy editions would be out. Could someone at Plain Brown Wrapper at least let us know the current status?

To quote the blurb on RPGNow, where the PDF may be obtained if you were not a Kickstarter backer:

"Judge Fool is a superhero adventure for the award-winning Savage Worlds roleplaying game, set on a colossal scale. It's a time-hopping cosmic Odyssey in the spirit of Jim Starlin and Grant Morrison, with maybe a little Moebius thrown in. Adam Warlock meets Doctor Who meets the Incal Light? Something like that."

Can't say I'm surprised. The Kickstarter had a ridiculously small number of pledgers. It was only due to a generous soul taking a $2000 pledge that kept it from being consigned to oblivion.

I asked for an update a while back and got no answer. I'm assuming at this point I'm not getting my printed version.

Yes, and it's a very nice book.

Great! I'm really gratified that you liked it.

Crimson Devil, did your copy arrive in good shape?

And while I'm at it, do either of you think I should post a copy of the incomplete manuscript of Tales of Tomorrow online somewhere, just as a good faith gesture, to let everyone know that the book really does exist, it's nearly complete, we continue to make progress on it, it's not vaporware, etc?

It certainly wouldn't hurt.

Sorry, I meant to get back to you, but I got distracted by work. The book is great! Thanks for sending it to me.

I don't think you need to post the book, just an update on the KS page to let people know what's happening with it.
