Custom Blast Templates

#1 Postby Trigger » Mon Nov 21, 2011 12:06 pm

I was wondering if there was a good source for custom Blast Templates. I finished an adventure, the Scarlet Rose for PotSM, and wanted to see if anyone has made or could create some templates with Soldier Ants as the theme, all 3 templates, Large, Medium and Small. If they already exist by some miracle, could someone let me know? Thanks in advance.

Pinnacle "Gothic Adventures: The Americas" Figure Flats contains, among other things, templates for marabunta/army ant swarms in small, medium, and large burst templates. (The link has a listing of all contents of the set.)

No worries. Templates are easy to make. Though it can get tedious to assemble once you are ready to go.

Those I made you were 2" 4" and 6" circles in powerpoint. Then I just "Filled" the circles with some pictures found and saved in google.

The cone template is the only one thats painful to make, but once you get the whole thing created as a single shape (as opposed to a combination of shapes) thats just as easy to fill as all the others.

AWESOME! Is it okay if I put this on my website as a seperate download for The Scarlet Rose Pirates Adventure? Would look something like this.

Feel free to do the same with the other download of templates as well.

Okay. I will just add it right in to the PDF as the last page of the Scarlet Rose adventure. Do you want me to put Robert4818 as credit or your name? (which I would need to know your name)

Thanks.

A Soldier Ants Swarm Blast Template has been created in conjunction with
The Scarlet Rose adventure. I have added it to the main PDF so if you download it again, it will be the last page now. Thanks Robert4818.

If you just want the last page you can also just download it by clicking the picture below.

Blast Templates should be easy to make in programs like Photoshop or Gimp. Set the canvas to the right size. Create a transparent circle on one layer. And on the layer beneath it put the image you want for the template. You could then have rubble piles, plants, fire, frost, etc... templates of various sizes.
Helps add flavor to the powers :)

Check out the Triple Ace Games Forums (Hellfrost). I think someone has done it there.

I made custom elemental templates, including a cone template, by just using MS Word and some appropriate clip art.

To make a cone, just create a 3" circle and a 7.5" triangle, grouping them together in a single 9" x 3" cone. Works like a charm! :-D
