FGIICon is coming..... (An online RPG Convention)

#1 Postby doswelk » Fri May 04, 2012 7:43 am

*** Friday 20th July to Sunday 22nd July.***

More details to come, but a few small highlights to allow GMs to start planning and players to start getting excited:

It is hoped to span the globe - so they welcome GMs from all over. It would be great if they had games running from Friday evening New Zealand time to Sunday evening Hawaii time! :-)

Any game that can run on Fantasy Grounds are welcome.

There will be using a commercial TeamSpeak3 server for the whole convention - all GMs should use this for their games. There will be chat rooms, discussion rooms, volunteer helpers and other things within various "Rooms" on the TS3 server - replicating the convention feel of being able to wander around and chat about different things.

They will be getting the fgiicon.com site up and running fully by the end of this month - which will allow GMs to register their game, players to register for these games, people to read blogs, ask questions and a whole lot more.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons,

Sounds awesome! We have the Wellstone City setting in Fantasy Grounds and we'll have to plan on running a game or two!

Wow very cool idea. I just have to Doswelk (Kevin I think) does a fantastic job with online games. I have been a part of two different sessions that were just a blast. Now if only there weren't such a time difference and the session did not conflict with my kids soccer.

Please note I am not behind the running of this as a whole, I just thought I'd post here. I am intending to run at least one game though

I'll run some savage goodness as well. And hopefully by then I'll have an ultimate license!
