Minatureless Savage Combat

Was posting elsewhere that when playing with people that really prefer not to use minatures, I've done it so that the cone template means 1d6 enemies are there, and a medium blast template is 1d8. I'm curious what other Savages have doen for minatures powers, AoE powers in particular other then just randomly guessing how many you hit.

I've just started pondering how to do it myself. I usually prefer to only rely on the battlemat when there is a huge fight going on. I don't know really how I'll do it, though.
