A game report from my first Savage Worlds game.

Hey everyone I've had the Savage Worlds rules for a few months but I just finally got around to running a game using them. It's a pulp adventure game set in 1919 France.

That sound like a really fun session. And your background for the campaign sounds really interesting. The terrain and the mini's looked pretty cool., too

Where did you get the terrain? It looked awesome...something I could really use in a future Rippers game.

Very nice and engaging report! Well worth reading over my morning brekkie. Looking forward to more reports. Two thumbs up.

Couple of questions:

1) The church is made using Hirst Arts? Was there a design from Hirst for it?? I'm asking coz at the moment I can't access the Hirst website.

2) Where did you get the cultists from?

The church is a kit from Pegasus Hobies http://www.pegasushobbies.com/ We built the roof and painted it. It was about $35.00 and I assembled in less than an hour.

The barrels, crates, oil drums and grey stone walls are also from Pegasus Hobbies and come pre-painted for a quite reasonable price. I think they range from $11.00-$15.00 a pack.

The light stone ruins were fish tank decorations purchased from a pet shop.

Two of the small building were made from Hirst Arts bricks.
http://www.hirstarts.com/ and one is scratch built from cardboard and bass wood with thatched roofs made from towl strips soaked in glue then painted. The large yellow building is also scratch built from cardboard, craft sticks, bass wood, and paint. The little mausoleam is scratch built.

The other four buildings of similar construction are little cardboard boxes shaped like houses I picked up from a Hobby Lobby http://www.hobbylobby.com/ the details and paintjobs are scratch built.

The roads and squre are made from textured wall paper and foamcore.

The table surface and hills are also home made from styrofoam, terri cloth, paint, sand, and masonite.

The pine trees are made from scrubby pads and sticks that I wittled down. All the other trees other than the one GW tree are scratch built from green washcloths and pipe cleaners.

The two Model Ts are die cast cars I found in a junk shop that I stripped down and re-painted.

The cultist and a number of the other figures are from Pulp Figures.

A few of the figures are from Copplestone Castings "Back of Beyond" line by Mark Copplestone. http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/ The paintjobs are all mine. I have and will use many other lines of figures for other episodes in this campaign.
